The Norton Shores Arts & Drafts Festival at Ross Park attracts artisans from near and far. In its 9th year, the Arts & Drafts festival brings over 75 craft vendors to enjoy. In this feature, we highlight a few of our local artists who live in Norton Shores, be sure to seek them out and say hello.
Sharon & David Arntson, Glass Artists
Creators of fused glass garden art and home décor, glass wind chimes dangling from Lake Michigan Driftwood. Norton Shores residents Sharon and David Arntson of Art in the Sun Designs create melted glass art baked in a kiln oven at 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit. Now on their fourth kiln, they enjoy creating something different than stained glass; there’s no lead or soldering involved. The fun, bright-colored glass creations will surely bring a splash of color and a conversational piece to your garden or outdoor space.
