Past and present members of the Norton Shores Police Department, along with many dedicated volunteers, provide a Department of Natural Resources approved Hunters Safety Program twice per year.  Our program includes classroom training, simulated hunting training, and actual field instruction.

Field day events include:

• Firearms Training
• Archery Training
• Introduction to Trapping
• First aid
• Tree Stand Safety
• Tracking

This Hunters Safety Program is FREE due to the generous donations by several hunting organizations and businesses.

Sessions are typically scheduled in April and August of each year.
