This event will be held at Executive Air Transport at the Muskegon County Airport on Saturday\, June 8\, from 8:00 AM to Noon.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis local event\, a source of joy for years\, is a significant funding source for Wings of Mercy. The festivities\, designed with your family’s enjoyment in mind\, include a pancake breakfast\, the Run for Wings 5K walk/run\, formation flying demonstrations by the Hooligans\, static plane displays\, plane rides\, and activities for kids. This year\, we are thrilled to bring back the Classic Car Show featuring the West Michigan Street Rod Association. Additionally\, the Muskegon County Airport offers free parking in their main terminal lot for all event attendees. \nThe Muskegon Host Lions will provide the pancake and sausage breakfast. Breakfast tickets are $6 per person or $25 for a family of six. Payment can be made by check\, cash\, or credit card. \nRegister online for the Run for Wings 5K at Run for Wings 5K Registration. The registration fee is $30\, which includes a pancake breakfast. An optional premium t-shirt is available. Same-day registration will begin at 7:00 AM\, with payments accepted by check\, cash\, or credit card. \nBy participating in this event\, you are not only having a great time but also making a significant difference. SUMMARY:Hunter Safety
DESCRIPTION:Past and present members of the Norton Shores Police Department\, along with many dedicated volunteers\, provide a Department of Natural Resources approved Hunters Safety Program twice per year. Our program includes simulated hunting training and actual field instruction. \nParticipants must have taken the online Hunter Safety and/or Bow Hunter Safety course(s) prior to taking the field day. Proof of completion is required by 8/19/22 The online classes can be located on the Michigan DNR website. Successful students will receive a Hunter and/or Bow Hunter safety certificate after passing the online class\, field day\, and written test. \nAll students will need to be at the Police Department before 8:00 AM on the scheduled Field Day. You will then be bussed to the field location which has no private parking available. Those who are late will not be permitted to take the class. This is outside\, please dress for the weather. \nThis course is provided at no cost\, however\, a $20 fee will be assessed to families who fail to cancel within 10 days of the course start date. Although typically\, we have a waitlist for this program\, failure to cancel denies others from participating. Children 10 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult during the field day. Parents and or guardians are encouraged to attend with the student regardless of age.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Ice Cream Month at Clem’s Market in Norton Shores.\n\n\nThe “I Pledge Project” rewards children 12 and under for their patriotism by offering them free ice cream just for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance by memory.\n\n\nThe Norton Shores Fire Department is this week’s special guest. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance\, and receive a free cone!\n\n\n\nThe United States Flag Code says: \n§4. Pledge of allegiance to the flag; manner of delivery \nThe Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: “I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America\, and to the Republic for which it stands\, one Nation under God\, indivisible\, with liberty and justice for all.” should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform\, men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder\, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent\, face the flag\, and render the military salute.
