DESCRIPTION:***Due to Covid-19\, NSPD is providing only providing “Field Day” education at this time. Thank you for your understanding*** \nPast and present members of the Norton Shores Police Department\, along with many dedicated volunteers\, provide a Department of Natural Resources approved Hunters Safety Program twice per year.  Our program includes classroom training\, simulated hunting training\, and actual field instruction. \nField day events include: \n\nFirearms Training\nArchery Training\nIntroduction to Trapping\nFirst aid\nTree Stand Safety\nTracking\n\nThis Hunters Safety Program is FREE due to the generous donations by several hunting organizations and businesses. \nSessions are typically scheduled in April and August of each year.
